Elephantmen Quick Fix Reviews

Elephantmen #5
Review by Chris Partin

"Exodus!"

Writer: Richard Starkings
Artists: Moritat

Oh, this is a good book.  I'm sure by now you're heard the hype about Elephantmen and I'm sure you're all curious to see if its worth all of the praise its getting.  Believe me.  It is that good, and its worthy of every good thing you hear.

This issue of Elephantmen provides a little bit of history about the final days of the Elephatmen's lives under Mappo's control.  The Elephantmen lived and breathed Mappo and they knew nothing outside of Mappo, but now there was no more Mappo and now the Elephantmen had to care for themselves.  They had to survive, and they knew that it was survival of the fittest no matter what jungle they lived in.

This issue has been good from the very first issue and this issue is no different.  Starkings' writing is just good.  I mean there's no other way of saying it other than its just good anyway you read it.  Moritat's artwork is some of the best in the industry.  As long as Elephantmen continues to be published, Starkings and Moritat must stay on board because I fear the quality is either leave this series.

Elephantmen is one of the best books you're not reading and that's not being cliche, that's being honest.
